Student Voice

At Morwell Park PS we actively encourage and provide opportunities for our young people to be involved in a range of activities in which they can develop:

  • Decision making skills

  • Self efficacy

  • Resilience

  • Leadership skills

  • Conflict resolution skills

  • Organisation skills

  • Team building

Student-driven decision making is a priority for our school and we openly encourage and support our children to have robust discussions and make decisions that directly influence their learning opportunities and outcomes.

Leadership opportunities include:

- School Captains

- House Captains

- Junior School Council

- Junior Fundraising Committee

Opportunities to represent the school community at ANZAC and Remembrance Day Ceremonies along with other special occasions occur regularly.

Children are actively involved in leading school assemblies and also planning and implementing special cross-aged activity days throughout the year. Eg: Harmony Day, Science Week, Literacy Week, Aboriginal Celebration Day.
